It’s really starting to seem like the Lohan family will do anything as long as it means they’re still in the spotlight. Less than 24-hours after her father, Michael Lohan, gets arrested for domestic violence near his apartment in West Hollywood on Tuesday night, Lindsay Lohan faced a judge in Los Angeles regarding her felony grand theft case after she was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store. Lindsay completely denies the charges having said that she was under the impression that the necklace was being loaned to her - something that is incredibly common for jewelers to do with celebrities. The case gets even more interesting when other shoppers including other celebrities reported having looked at the same necklace which was then valued at only $800. Lindsay rejected the plea deal offered to her at the preliminary hearing held Wednesday, March 23rd. She will now go on to face another judge and a jury who will examine the evidence of the case and decide her fate. Because she is still on probation after a 2007 DUI case, a guilty verdict could put Lohan behind bars for up to three years. So as though it weren’t already obvious, it really seems like the Lohans are even willing to serve hard time behind bars as long as their names are still brought up in media attention.
