There was a point in the not so distant past, where almost every starlet on the scene was pursuing a music career, and in most cases, they had a somewhat successful venture into the music bizz. Lindsay Lohan sure had quite the musical ride for a while there, before she succumbed into major partying. Hilary Duff’s did it after Lizzie McGuire. Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens started on the High School Musical and took their talents to the studio afterwards. Ashlee Simpson’s rise to fame wasn’t her SNL lip-syncing debacle but was in fact her role on 7th Heaven. And then there’s the definition of actress-turned-singer, herself Miley Cyrus. Granted, her show was about a girl who was secretly a popstar but it still counts. And now another Hollywood starlet can be added to the list of people who are making music. Kim Kardashian has been hard at work for the past few months pursuing a music career. Some people love the Kardashians but I just don’t buy it. Let’s face it, they have less of a reason to be famous than Paris Hilton. They’re father was on the law team that got O.J. Simpson off. After 4 kids with his wife Kris, the two divorced which was when Kris Kardashian remarried 1976 decathlon gold medalist Bruce Jenner. At least the Hiltons are set to inherit billions of dollars. Yet here Kim is making a music video for her first single “Turn It Up.”
